Walk of Shame

Well, I've seen better movies than Walk of Shame (Sneak: June 16), which is going to be released under the title Mädelsabend in Germany, but I've certainly also seen much worse movies. For me there are really good and intelligent movies on the one hand, but then there also exist two other kinds of movies. One of them are movies that are both stupid and not in the least bit funny when it comes to what I like.

Please don't let me relive the anguish I had with Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues because there was nothing legendary at all about this. However, I know that many people who saw the film with me enjoyed the film and maybe you did, too. Then there are movies who might just be as equally stupid but which at least manage to make me laugh. Luckily, Walk of Shame belonged to the latter category.

It is Meghan Miles' dream to reach the next level in her anchorwoman career by leaving her local news channel and joining a high-profile channel. In order to do that she has to put in a convincing performance during the next news. However, things get get awry when after a girls' night out she literally has to go the walk of shame.

The film is nothing special, but it kept me entertained almost throughout the entire movie. Nonetheless, I had the advantage that I saw it as a sneak and only had to pay €5 for my ticket. You should really think about whether this kind of movies suits you and whether you want to pay the normal ticket price for it.

German release: June 26, 2014
